She uses film as a raw material to explore landscape, memory and different forms of temporality. By creating fictions, she questions history and proposes new interpretations, often poetic and enigmatic. In her installations, the artist uses 16mm or 35mm film as a medium, or for the sculptural and material qualities of the film, the projectors or the beams of light that emanate from it. She analyses the potential of film, overturning the traditional cinematic experience and challenging the notion of linear time. <\/p>\n

She is developing a sculptural approach to the medium of film. She creates installations and site-specific interventions that highlight the way in which film articulates space, establishing a new relationship between the work and the viewer. Questions of composition, the physicality of form and plasticity play an important role for the artist as she also examines the film industry and its posture towards gesture, genre, information and documents. Her cinematographic works fall somewhere between experimental documentary and fictional narrative. They often focus on natural landscapes and human interventions in the environment and explore the relationship between historical archives, personal anecdotes and filmic representation, creating spaces of memory and uncertainty. <\/p>\n
