For the first time Ce\u0301cile Bart combines her paintings\/screens with film projections. Short dance sequences, from films ranging in register and period, are projected onto nine paintings\/screens arranged in the black gallery.    <\/p>\n<p>A \u2018sampling\u2019 is comprised of images that have been selected, cropped, copied and pasted in black and white.  <\/p>\n<p>Like silent movies, to which the title alludes, the exhibition is silent allowing movement to be the focus \u2014 the bodies filmed mingle with those of the visitors.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u2018Silent Show\u2019 exhibition draws on the triple register of painting, film and dance.
