{"id":23860,"date":"2022-12-13T12:09:13","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T11:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccod.fr\/evenements\/the-portrait-of-christopher-atkins\/"},"modified":"2022-12-13T12:09:13","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T11:09:13","slug":"the-portrait-of-christopher-atkins","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/cccod.fr\/en\/evenements\/the-portrait-of-christopher-atkins\/","title":{"rendered":"the portrait of christopher atkins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For his exhibition at the Centre de Cre\u0301ation Contemporaine Olivier Debre\u0301 (CCC OD) in Tours, Christodoulos Panayiotou has designed a theatrical itinerary taking visitors on a spatiotemporal journey echoing the layout of the exhibition galleries and the architecture of the building.  <\/p>\n<p>Through a series of works that constitute a fragmented exploration of a variety of hidden mechanisms, questions of absence and loss are repeatedly summoned up, whether by processes connected with memory, erasure or anachronisms. Opening up a breach through a range of temporalities, the exhibition covers the art centre\u2019s two upper floors, like two sequential strata of a single life. <\/p>\n<p>There is particular emphasis on silence, creating space for the works\u2019 density, enabling them to resonate. Each silence is a hyphen, connecting and separating at the same time.
