Franck Scurti’s work explores the relationship between art and social reality, and the conditions under which their utopian encounter takes form. He shows great interest for urban spaces and his productions are mostly elaborated from familiar objects. Franck Scurti centres his research on image, and the status and functioning of things that are immediately identifiable.

By observing things and the behaviours that can result from them, he studies their representations and depicts their symbolism. He brings a new meaning to these objects, by assigning them new functions. Grasping reality, his work raises questions about our private or social environment.
