Akio Suzuki, Hiromi Miyakita, Ensemble PTYX et Christophe Fellay
A curatorial project by Anne-Laure Chamboissier and Christophe Fellay
Anne-Laure Chamboissier and Christophe Fellay are developing an artistic exploration centred on actively listening to places. Their approach examines how listening, as a sensitive and attentive act, can reveal invisible or little-known dimensions of the spaces they pass through.
The Portraits de territoires en écoute project invites sound and music artists to engage with different regions, with a view to bringing out their unique forms of expression.
This first event forms part of the European tour, in spring 2026, by Japanese sound art pioneer Akio Suzuki and performer Hiromi Miyakita. Alongside the PTYX Ensemble and the Swiss multidisciplinary sound artist Christophe Fellay, they explore the venues, their memories and their resonances, and employ artistic forms that open up new ways of perceiving our environment.
Following a residency in Saint-Paterne-Racan (27–30 April), the CCC OD is hosting a performance/concert in the nave.
Other events:
• Friday 1 May – Hangar Brossay in Saint-Paterne-Racan (2pm–6pm): a sound installation activated at specific times, followed by a concert at 5pm (free admission)
• Residency in Switzerland from 11 to 17 May, Espace Parallèle – Saint-Maurice, in partnership with Flore-Alpe in Champex
• As part of Portraits de territoires en écoute : listening workshop with Benoît Renaudin on Wednesday 29 April from 2pm to 5pm in Saint-Paterne-Racan • Free • Register by 20 April at the latest by emailing: alc@champrojects.com (maximum 10 people)
